Waybills
The spreadsheets are at the bottom of this page and are based on originals from Wolfgang Dudler
This shows the front of the printed waybill. The way bill
measures 46mm X 72mm (1-13/16 X 2- 7/8). the
printer prints 12 waybills each side.
I use an excel spreadsheet to generate the waybills and the car cards.
The data for both has to be entered only once, with maybe the
occasional update to individual items.
The Waybills are printed onto ordinary white paper (on my Bubble Jet).
As you can see I use a few colours on the way bill, this helps the
operators to see the required fields a little easier.
All the data for each WB is entered into a single line on the
spreadsheet. The first item is the reference number, in this example it
is 47. This number is used to identify the WB and to select the
WB for printing.
Next is the AAR code ( or code of your choice) that is printed in the
top left corner of all 4 sides.
Below is a sample entry for Side 1

explanatory.

The above data relates to the next 3 sides of the waybill. The first
column (Via 1) is a staging yard in the direction of the next shown
Town. The next three columns are just to add interest. All this data
came from the Industry data sheet on the OP SIG web site.
The next two sides are laid out as side 2
The macros in the spreadsheet select the data from this line and
place it in the correct position and correct size on the waybill. First
print side 1 and then put the paper back in the printer - flipped over
left to right - and print the second side. Any bubble jet less than 10
years old should have no problem with alignment.
If you wish to use the spreadsheet, just leave the first column intact
and
type over the information in the rest of the columns.
